Book Reviews - Kidnapped by Robert Lewis Stevenson

This term students in years 11, 12, & 13 have been reading Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson with Mr Mountain during reading lessons.

The story is a coming of age adventure novel about a young orphan boy who is kidnapped and must find his way home to his inheritance. The story is set in Scotland in the mid 1700s following the Jacobite rebellion.

Like with any story, some students really enjoyed the adventurous tale, others not so much, but by reading the story together in lessons students were introduced to lots of new terminology and got the chance to practice their Scottish accents.

Students were asked to complete an honest review of the book - below are a selection of them to read.
